If you can get it to run at 2,000 RPMs for twenty minutes without over heating, don't worry about anything else.
You are breaking in the cam. You only have one shot at that. Everything else can be dialed in twenty minutes later.
The fact that it will run at 2,000 RPMs is close enough for now, and you won't hurt anything during twenty minutes at 2,000 RPMs.
