It's funny how every answer leads to new questions and your post that listed the axle weight ratings is a good example. On my '48 with the 8800lb. GVW the front axle is rated at 3500 lbs., so I guess the rears are listed at 5300 lbs. If that is correct it would seem that the HO52, which you listed at a 5200 lb. rating would be close to the original but the HO72 with a 7200 lb. rating would be a better choice.
The key piece of info you provided was that the C30 pumpkins will work for me. That gives me a better chance of finding what I'd like.
