I have not information for you. However, some of us will also be interested in this answer.
From 47-55 there was no gasket/welt between the rear fenders and the bed. However, some people put a strip of 30# roofing tar between the bed and the fenders. The 47-55 panel body trucks used fender welt between the rear fenders and the body.
