For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! The sides are "gas or arc" welded to top with probable spot welds at "A" pillar and bulkheads. Where is problem? Drip rails? windshield surround? why whole roof? Red58, et al, can confirm or suggest options. Is this a rust repair or accident repair? Sounds like you have already made your decision but try to see if there is a way to repair just sections with your donor. The weight will be approx. 90-110 lbs., two guys can lift.
