Primer needs a bigger tip 1.5-1.7 to properly atomize the primer and spray right. Although you can get away without it.
The same has to do with the paint 1.3 for Base Clear and 1.5 for single stage paints.
But as I said you can get away without doing that way. Just means you need to open up the materials almost all the way to get a good coat for the primer and single stage.
