I replaced the old ball and socket style tie rod ends with new style ends from LMC.as well as a new drag link that uses the original style ball and socket system. I replaced the ball ends as well.
Now with the tie rod ends screwed all the way in I still have over an inch of toe in and since the tie rod ends are all the way in I have no more adjustment.
I called LMC and they tell me the tie rod thy sell is 3 inches longer than what I have which is 43-5/8" Classic parts says there tie rod is 43-3/4 closer to mine, still no help.
I have taken the tie rod off and put it back on 3 times thinking I am missing something but its a pretty simple set up, still I must be doing something wrong.
I am considering shortening the tie rod and re threading it further. any one else done this conversion or have any suggestions?
It seems like every thing I buy is imported and has to be modified to fit.
