Being from Montana, "ranch truck" is a broad description for a vehicle that doesn't necessarily have to be licensed for highway or road travel. It does has to be registered and titled though.
I'd keep them as talking pieces for shows, but to drive it in NY you're probably going to have to install glass. It'd also make driving easier.
