I used the ClassicParts harness that DADS50 linked to (the 54-55 version). It didn't have a fuse box, and I decided not to add one. As he said there are (or should be) two fuses on the firewall for the tail/stop lights.
I don't plan on adding many aftermarket things to my truck... its all pretty much "stock" (no radio, speakers, extra lights, gizmo's, etc), so the few accessories (like turn signals) are run from the accessory post on the ignition switch. It was really pretty simple to run the wires, took me about a day, maybe two days to figure out the turn signal wiring.
