a few weeks back someone posted that they were considering painting bed liner sealer on the floor of their cab prior to carpet etc to reduce noise, rust etc.

Has anyone ever done this? Is there any real value to doing it or is it wasted effort? I would assume it would help prevent rusting, but I don't find many cabs rusting from the inside out anyway!
