The wife and I have done lots of long trips convoying to ATHS Truck Shows in my 1957 Fire Engine. We do about 3000 miles per year and do it sitting on the original seat (had it restored with new burlap, cotton, foam and cloth 13 years ago). We both find it very confortable, it's big and flat allowing us to change positions as we roll along.

I'm building a 56 3100 restorod and thought about getting these seats

but I have reconcidered and based on not having anything bad to say about the stock bench seat, that's what I going to use.
