Hey, I recently put some headers on my truck, My dad has like 6-7 engines lying around so I put on on an egine stand and started it up with the headers on to "bake" the stock paint that was on, and any paint that bubbled up I would just sand off. So i did. Then I painted over the stock paint with some acuall high temp paint, rated to 1200 F. The paint is already starting to peel. I should have sandblasted all the paint off to get to the bare metal. Anyway,...what I came on here to ask was I saw some por 15 brand high temp paint. I know that stuff is good for rust prevention and is high quality stuff. Do you think it would work if I where to put it on my headers, if it was painted on the bare metal??
any help on high temp paint would be helpful.
