I set my engine as low as I could,the bottom of the oil pan is just above the bottom level of the Mustang II crossmember,I,like Alvin can get my hand round the back of the HEI distributor (just).

I trimmed about a 1/4" off the toeboard/floor area just above the bellhousing but can still use the original trans cover.
