It appears the rod brace was used on '40 and '41 trucks only. The sheet metal brace at inside top center was used from ' 40 to early '47. My confusion on all this with my project may be rooted in the '46 production timing. My '46 project and apparently the donor truck referenced came off the production line soon after production restarted, following the war. As I understand it, at that time many of the early products used parts left over from pre-war parts inventory.
