For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 33 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 33 | Bought a gauge cluster assembly from LMC Truck for a 1950 Chevy 3100. There are two Warning! stickers on the box and one on the square nut on the back of the oil pressure gauge that state:
"WARNING! Square nut on back of oil gauge must be secured before attaching oil line. Failure to do so may result in damage to gauge."
That nut looks really secure to me, as shipped. Is this warning us if we take it apart or do the three warning labels imply that we need to do something else to it? Confusing. I called LMC and they offered no meaningful information. Any thoughts? | | |
