Bill, You are right!
I just got back from a dog walk and to put wood in the furnace.
Our 9500 GVW is rated at 31,000#.
The Lafrance, I also looked at, (with a flashlight) and could not find a tag saying what it was rated for.
I did notice how poorly the Lafrance cab is made, compared to the GMC.
