The earlier version had the one piece grille, with the two access doors on each side of the grille. I saw the two in the Gallery that Rich mentions, & the one listed as a '39/'40 is like your front end. It's not a '39/'40, but actually a'46-'49. I had a GMC Catalog once that listed that "Alligator" Hood, as new for 1946. | | |
