Hello Everyone,
I am the latest newbie to the site, but not to the hobby in general or these trucks in perticular. My Father started working as a mechanic in a GMC dealership in 1959. I was born in 1962 & my first memories of vehicles were of Gmcs big & small. All my years growing up we had at least one & sometimes many we worked on. In my adult years, I have had many myself.
I have been a restoration shop owner & single car transporter for 30 years. The shop has come to a halt, the employees are gone & it is now used for my toys & maintaining my trucks & trailers for transport.
I had the pleasure of picking up an OT truck at Achipmunk (Moderator Alvins) place recently. I could have stayed & shot the bull for hours about our hobby. I then took the truck to GMCJOEs place (another member) great guy with a love for our hobby.
I do not get a lot time to surf the sites, but look forward to spending some time here with the trucks I grew up with.
