I got some 60 grit sand paper for my hand sander last night, and I'm going to go at it until I get my DA.
I had already decided not to use the stripper. I have two autistic kids, and I just can't chance using the stuff with them around. they just don't understand danger, and I'm quite sure my son would eat the stuff!
the 60 grip paper with just a hand sander works quite well so I think with a DA I could strip the paint in no time. until that thing gets here I'm going to let my arm get plenty tired though!
I don't have a ton of time to strip paint for a few days. I'm taking advantage of the warm weather (that is just agove 40 degrees
) to spray paint and clean the parts for my k5. I get the engine back in about a week and a half.
Lets just say I am
very excited to get my k5 back on the road!
