Just had the windshield and the three back glasses installed two weeks ago. Guy did a great job. I asked at a hot rod shop and at a classic car upholstery shop who can do glass on a 48 chev truck - with experience, Both shops recommended the same guy. He is a remote glass shop as in he works out of his truck.

It took several weeks for his to schedule me for and afternoon - we are 55 miles apart. He scheduled anotherr job in my same area.

I am almost 1000 miles from you so my glass man wont be much help, but, my point is keep asking at glass, upholstery and hotrod shops for soomeone that works on classic and antique vehicles ,especially your 54 chev truck. Any ole glass installer is not a good choice.

By the way, Action Glass (name of the glass mans company).Came to my shop, installed 5 glasses and the cost was $180. I was glad to pay it to not worry about me breaking my own glass. Took him two hours.
