I did the firewall and inner fenders on my '54 Chevy car with a CO2 airbrush. It worked great. I did thin the paint a little more.
Keep several cans of propellant on hand and when you are spraying, put the can in a pot of very warm water - when you spray a lot the cans will frost over and the pressure drops if you don't keep them hot. Switch around as needed.
