I had this same problem a couple years ago and I never did get it answered . The Casting numbers are the same for both the 235 and 250 . I think someone finally told me that one had domed pistons and on had flat top pistons [ in stock applications] I never did find out what I had , and have to believe there are other more obvious ways to tell the differences .
