Jim, I wasn't trying to be glib with my seat of the pants comment. Your best indicator will come from your ear, and what's in the seat of your pants (OK, that was glib).
I can tell you this. You will much appreciate the driveability of your truck with 4.10 vs 5.14 rears, regardless of the 216 or the newer 235.
