Just a thought, my Viking 40 was originally a shorter wheelbase version from the factory and was lengthened at some point to accommodate a 12 foot grain bed. You could always shorten the frame to accept a smaller bed. That is unless you prefer to have the longer wheelbase.

I have noticed that the shorter wheelbase big bolts are more desirable than the long ones, and therefore easier to sell.

It might be worth considering.
