Rear Mouldings should follow body contour.
That's how the factory mouldings were made.
The hand made aftermarket mouldings usually do not follow body contour.
Lower pieces run short. Like in a straight line.

Left side is almost dead on.
Right side is a little off.
The way the front fender is shaped compared to the rear fender, makes it easier to make the pieces for it.
At any rate the higher quality re-popped lower front & rear fender mouldings should follow the body contours.
