The ignition switch in my '39 needs rewiring. It has this armored flex that is pressed into the back of the switch housing. The wire runs from inside the housing, down the flex and exits at the coil. I need to pull the switch apart at the top. I put the key in, inserted a small punch into the tiny hole by the key slot. I could feel pressure against a spring inside but can't get it to release. How do I get this switch apart? Anyone? Thanks for any help and response.
