Shocks really don't make that much of a difference on these old girls. Go with whatever is available. Just don't expect your 60 year old truck to drive like a corvette.

I drove around with a broken front shock mount for a couple of months. It was hardly noticeable at all while driving. Replaced it when the new one came in just for piece of mind.
