It isn't a "DA" that they were using. It was a random orbital sander. And a "finish" sander at that. It is a sander that has a much finer cut than a regular da and actually works very well. There are a number of manufactures that make "innerface" pads made of foam that goes between the paper and the pad so it doesn't cut to much on edges and body lines. It really is a cool way to color sand. Instead of polishing out sand scratches you are polishing out a "haze" and it works much better.
