Had the cab of the 48 blasted. There was a lot of "sunburn" on the top surfaces, the rest of the cab had very little rust.
When I got it back I had a problem I hadn't thought about.
The factory had used quite a bit of lead on the cowl to smooth the seams from a few inches up the windshield pillar, across the side of the cowl to the firewall. The stripe was around 3" wide.
The shop had gone over that area too aggressivly and the lead was really chewed up. Took a lot of work to get that area smoothed out .
Apparently the young tech doing the blasting had no concept of lead body work.
I will remember to mention it from now on or maybe mark the areas with a note when I drop one off.
