I've seen a couple w/ that done - works fine if a good welder does it and the shortened frame is checked carefully for square
measure underneath corner to corner someplace and look at where the welds are - best done at an angle or stepped, and on the TF series I think right at the cross member behind the cab [so the box fits on right] - good idea to gusset or box there too
