I got this Tank some years ago from a guy who told me it had come out of an early 1950s GMC or Chevrolet Panel Truck or Suburban.

I was going to install it as a second tank in my 1960 P-20 Van, but i have since decided i am happy with just the one Tank.

So, I am hoping you can identify it for me, so I can know what I have.

Edited to mention I made a typo in transcribing the length measurement, which should have read 25 inched long if counting the Seam

Dimensions are -

If counting the seam - 35 inches long.
If counting the seam - 14 inches deep/wide.
12-5/8ths inches tall.
