Thanks Denny. The blding is 30x40 (1200sq ft) and the roof pitch is a 4/12.
The metal cost $1600 and the additional plywood, 2x4's, 1x4 facia trim all the way around, hardwr etc., ran around $500.
I paid 3 fellows to knock it out and had to pay a dump fee for two 1 ton loads so all in all I've got around $4k in it.
My original roof was so bad I had to replace most of the plywood and that took an additional day of labor.
The metal carrys a 40 yr no rust warranty.
I got a couple quotes from a couple business that specialize in roofing and one was $8k and the other $10k.
My advice would be to not wait as long as I did and to shop around.
