| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | the 55-59 Factory Assembly Manual shows the exhaust layouts for different models, you need to use some coat hangers made to the shapes needed on your actual truck so the shop has dimensions for the bendy parts .... the main things will be the shape/length of the head pipe [manifold to muffler], the inverted U over the rear axle and lengths from muffler to the axle and axle to rear exit .... the muffler was positioned under the bed where you should have found a metal plate that was a heat deflector for it
