I too needed a spare carrier for my 52. When I checked into it I found that they made "a few" different carriers for the AD trucks over the years. I learned too that most of the carriers are gone off the trucks cuz the carriers were a pain in the arse. (I guess thats why they made "a few")
I posted several pictures of the spare carrier I put together for my truck. Yea...it's not original,but it works GREAT. It's a spare carrier off a late 80's mini pickup. (less than 20 bucks)
MY SPARE CARRIER PIX When the tire is up there,you can't see anything. It also holds the tire in just the right position looking from the rear of the truck.
