I installed my freshly painted hood on my 54 chevy and hooked up hinges , It goes down to about 2 in. from closing all the way. It is like it is stopped at the cowl in the back. I took the hood springs off and same thing . I disconnected the hinges and spring, the hood fits good , all the way down . This was a project truck and hood was not connected just laying on truck, I discovered it was a 53 hood , that should make no difference . They modified the front Hood Emblem from a 54 to fit the 53 , that threw me off . Any thoughts ?
