Thanks to TooMany2count, who mailed me a stud, I was able to rebuild my throttle linkages on Saturday. His showed up Friday in the mail. Saturday morning I went to town with the new stud in hand to find a clip for it. The one on my truck never had a clip which I think lead to some of my problems. Here's what my stud looked like when I removed it.
Old Stud

I found that a 3/8 e-clip fits perfectly on the new stud. I also found a 3/8 id bronze bushing that I thought I might use on it as well. The holes in my bell crank were oblong and oversized already so I drill them out to 1/2" to fit the bronze bushing.

You can also see that I welded some washers on both sides of the arms of the bell crank. Those holes were oblong as well. The 1/4" rods were worn so they got a little weld and then ground back down to round.

Once installed I added a few washers to take up the space you can see here.

Everything moves smoothly now. If I do anything else it may be to make new linkage rods using heim joints.
