My '49 panel is going up and 4x4. My TF 1957 1 ton pick up , I am thinking about dropping it. I am not going to body drop as to not touch the body much on this truck.
This build is a cheap build. I am into the truck for less than scrap price. Eventually a V8 of some sort will go in , but for now the 235 is running good , so I'll run it under original power. There is a 283 in the shop that was a beast from an ol gasser. but I might use that in panel truck and 455 in the tf . I dont yet know about the fate of the 455.
I dont want to modify the stock suspension much if at all. Aside from the hood , this truck is very close to stock.
I have to buy new shocks. while shopping I started thinking about stance.... I want it a couple of inches lower.
I have considered a couple options...
1 axle flip.... change the way the axle mounts to the spring.
2 spring to frame flip. Take the springs and mount them to the top of the frame.
3 Some sort of replacement spring... junk yard options .... jeep 2" springs from 6 cylinder ... maybe...
4 (your suggestion here)

how about this option
