In my opinion less expensive grade 5 hardware is adequate.International trucks always used grade 5 on suspension and frame components.The original bolts on old GM trucks are not marked, so the strength is anyones guess.The original rivits are nothing special but the riviting action does forge the rivit some.The other question is ,what are the quality of the bolts we buy.Probably made in Asia, does the grade making mean anything at all? We have no way of knowing.
