this doesn't make sense. there was no rear trans mount on the orig 3 speed manual. the rear mounts would have been on the bell housing

Perhaps he is talking about the emergency brake support cross member big_eek .... which for sure isn't designed to be used as any kind of transmission support.

Yes that is what i was refering to,has held up to a lot of abuse,may build one this winter.
