I located a temporary replacement for my 235 that needs a rebuild. I have the truck apart, almost ready to pull out the old engine. I helped pull the replacement, so I feel confident on getting mine out. What I'm unsure about is putting the other one in. It looks like the transmission just sits there when the engine is out.
Any advice on lining things up? Since the other engine came to me with the bell housing attached, I plan to change that along with the engine. I really don't want to take out the transmission if I can avoid it because the PTO shaft would be just one more thing to take apart and put back together.
The truck is a 2-ton grain truck that I use on my farm. I need it back on the road ASAP.
