yeah, true. same problem tho. Those with 52 and up doors on the older cabs need the wraparound style striker to make it look decent, or... weld the holes shut after you put in the plate, which I wouldn't do. I even called a company called Triquemfg.com and tried to see if they had a solution. Not for original door hardware. In a perfect world, you would be able to get stainless steel striker plates in that configuration.
