Zackly except that there was a brief period in late '51 when headlight rings were painted as well.

It's a little squirrely because some assembly plants had leftovers and some didn't. Hood badges and bumpers were also chrome but around mid '51 all hell broke loose with the chrome supplies coming from the orient and that pinched off chrome and placed high demand on stainless which also got very tight quickly thereafter. The stainless that was around was going into cars of '51-'53 so it put trucks at the bottom of the food chain. But the door handles and cranks are chrome in all cases.

Chrome bumpers, chrome trim, etc all began to evaporate around April 1951 and was totally gone by year end of '51. While they still showed chrome on the literature, it didn't exist.
