I think you may be talking about what is called a "Truck" bell housing. You don't say what motor you have. Later style bellhousing may NOT bolt up to an old 6. The "any housing to any motor" didn't happen til later. You need to know the year of the bellhousing that fits your motor/tranny, then you can find the proper mounts. If you don't know anything, how can a parts guy look it up?. What is the housing from? what is the tranny from? Did you check to see it fits motor bolt pattern? Any numbers on it? Picture? We need better info.
