I thought some of yall might like to see my truck's
sales invoice from 1955. It is in a preservation sleeve- so, when I scanned it, the folds & wrinkles magnified.
The serial and motor numbers on the receipt match what is in my truck today, and I computer-paint covered up my great uncle's name
-even though he's long gone and wouldn't care. He was an avid bird hunter, as well.
Out of curiousity, does anybody happen to have the 1954 GMC 1/2 ton truck he traded in? The settlement section says,"Motor E248205659."
BTW, the dealership in my hometown is still in business.
