My boss is looking at a task force truck (58 GMC) that has the Pontiac engine w/3 speed column shift. He is interested in an auto trans. Obiously the hydramatic will bolt up, and that is certainly an option, but what other trans would work? I read somewhere that the hydramatic was factory matched. What's up with that?
