Both u-joints were replaced. I can wiggle the transmission output shaft up & down about 52 thousands just by grabbing the slip yoke by hand and pushing it straight up & down with the driveshaft installed (I can do the exact same thing with the slip yoke separated from the driveshaft, but this doesn't really make any difference). I'm trying to figure out if this play is normal (I didn't see a spec in the shop manual). If the play is normal, then my issue would appear to be the driveshaft. If the play is not normal, then I either have one problem (a worn rear bearing) or two problems (a worn rear bearing caused by a bad driveshaft). I'm getting closer to solving this mystery!!!!
