I put direction lights on my '46 6400 last year and they worked OK until just a couple of weeks ago when the flasher started going really fast. I put a new 6-volt flasher in and noticed that it is labeled for not more than 4 bulbs. When I plug in my trailer, there are 3 bulbs per side (6V bulbs in trailer) and if I use the hazards, that's 6 bulbs. Since flashers work on current, I'm wondering if a 12v heavy duty flasher would work. I suppose I could go out, buy one and try it, but I thought I would check to see if anyone has done that already.
