Starting to tackle my 47. The hood is not very rigid and tends to twist when lifted. I looked at some smaller trucks and see two rods going from the upper hood latch plate to the sides of the hood. Mine dosen't have these so I picked up a couple from a guy in Florida this winter. I tried them today but they are too short. Can't find any reference to these rods in my parts book but there are holes in the lip of the hood and in the upper plate so I think something was there originally. Does anyone have a 47 Big Bolt that has these braces?
