I am wanting to use the original frame and completely upgrade the drive train. V8, Power Steering, Disc Brakes, five or six speed transmission, higher ratio rear end and wiring harness. I am wanting to produce a daily driver that is very dependable to work my car show circuit. I need to make sure that the pickup maintains its 3/4 ton rating so I can haul product in the bed and pull a small trailer. My budget is $12,000 but have had a couple of bad experiences with so called mechanics and I don't want to repeat.
