There is no VIN. That is a modern term.

In 1951 vehicles were titled by either the body serial number or by the engine number, depending on how the jurisdiction where it was registered did it.

The body serial number should be on a plate on the driver's door jamb. The engine number should be stamped on a machined boss right behind the distributor.

Of course by now your truck could have a state assigned serial number and/or a different engine.
