This is a 6 volt system? I think your "new" generator and regulator just might be 12 volt items! 6V charging voltage must not be above 7.5 volts. Even if it's running a 12V battery, 14.7 volts should be maximum, and that's against a fully charged battery.

Until we're on the same page about battery voltage and such, the readings are way too far off the wall. Find someone in your area who knows what he's doing and let him sort things out. I don't think it's possible to do enough adjusting to fix this one! My email address is in my profile, but I'm not sure if you have access to that part of the website yet.
